At Cision, we believe that each new customer’s success story starts with you As an Account Executive, you are responsible for the profitable growth of revenue through the acquisition of new logos. This is a "tele-prospecting" role that will target small & medium-sized organizations. You will uncover the customers’ communication needs and overall strategy, and onboard the new clients with a membership to PR Newswire & a solution that aligns with their concept.

Essential Role Functions Include:

Meeting/exceeding revenue targets. Serving as the point person for prospect development and acquisition from the competition by taking advantage of package selling in distribution and monitoring. Demonstrating strong objection-handling & negotiation skills when faced with competitive market challenges & negotiation of new client contracts when applicable. Prospecting and generating leads through cold calling, networking, company-support campaigns, and referrals. Identifying prospect needs and recommending solutions to meet their requirements. Conducting sales presentations to potential customers. Maintaining a sales database and creating a pipeline of prospects in Salesforce. Performing follow-up calls & effective pipeline management. Providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of products/services. Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market developments. Meeting or exceeding revenue quota and key performance indicators as established by leadership. Ensuring clear & accurate forecasting cadence of the business portfolio.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. Based in Cleveland, Ohio & able to work in the office; Willingness to work flexible hours in accordance with company needs/workflow demands. Strong prospecting and networking skills with the ability to generate leads and build relationships. Ability to work effectively in high pressure, competitive and multiple task environments. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or field-based role. Polished written and verbal communication skills are a must when engaging prospects and effectively differentiating our services and value proposition from the competition via telephone, web, and email contact. Expert PRN product & industry acumen is required. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to exceed sales targets. 1-2 years successful B2B sales experience required, with a proven track record of: Achieving 100% of sales plan consistently. Maintaining accurate sales reporting & forecasting at all times. Demonstrating the Cision Values & support DEI progress at Cision including actively sponsoring/supporting/attending DEI initiatives & events. Leveraging professional & personal networks to drive visibility into top opportunities. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to close business as needed, including deep involvement with top prospects. Elevating personal performance based on KPI achievement, implementing sales coaching, and standard competencies. Maintaining a commitment to learning & personal growth of yourself. Engaging daily with sales manager to ensure a strong, collaborative environment, proactively sharing ideas, creative strategies, and updates with other team members. Ensuring a strong, timely follow-up on all prospects in accordance with standard SLAs. A strong ability to effectively navigate ambiguity & effectively manage change with creative thinking & problem-solving skills. as a sales performer. Proficiency in sales tools such as Outreach & required.
