Job Description

This role will be key to building applications that leverage new technologies to modernize home valuations. As a Lead, you will provide expert advice to and guide the team in building, developing, or designing functionality for products that enhance the collateral evaluation experience. This includes ensuring the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products that revolutionize how home data is collected and analyzed in service of Fannie Mae’s business outcomes. 

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice to and guide the team in building, developing, or designing functionality for a product, as well as guide and ensure the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Lead Product Manager role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other product owners, engineering leads, and analytics experts to lead the development of new tools, strategies, and applications by being the bridge between business, tech, and user experience. 
  • Quickly understand Fannie Mae’s architecture for Collateral Products and all the interconnected software components. Use this to shape a vision for products and align stakeholders around it.  
  • Independently manage delivery of products by understanding business objectives. Use that understanding to prioritize product features and capabilities in service of desired business outcomes 
  • Develop process flows with special attention to areas of improvement and efficiency. Understand the customer journey to adapt our tools. Proactively identify blockers, resolve those impediments, and escalate when needed. Own the roadmap and its delivery. 
  • Leverage Agile software development experience to lead the delivery work of multiple squads. You will lead initiatives from conception to product adoption ensuring all aspects of the platform are delivered with a high degree of quality and across an efficient timeline.  
  • Be a guardian of Fannie Mae’s culture. Build and contribute to an environment where everyone is included and wants to do their best as a shared stakeholder in outcomes. 

 


Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences:

  • At least 4 years of technical product management  
  • 3+ years of experience with agile product development and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) 
  • Self-driven with ability to work independently and motivate a team, with minimal supervision 
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into B2B products and/or consumer facing products
