Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Operations and Supply Chain Director for the Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDs) program. The candidate will be responsible for all Operations and Supply Chain Management and activities. This is a strategic leadership position that requires the establishment of the vision for the team, sets direction for the organization, develops a high performing team, and drives results for the LTAMDs business area within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Business Unit.

This role is based out of Tewksbury, MA but has factories and suppliers across the US with some travel required to those factories.

What You Will Do

Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and a sense of belonging. Leads all Supply Chain and Operations responsibilities (strategies, program execution, talent development) for the LTAMDS SSBU in the LADS business area.  Demonstrate advanced knowledge of supply chain & operations concepts including, but not limited to, subcontract management, ERP/MRP, logistics, material estimating, proposal development and finance. Continuous improvement of Supply Chain & Operations processes / initiatives that deliver results to the business. Topics include Employee Mentoring, Succession Planning, EAC improvements, and other projects that have direct impact on RTX bottom line. Domain expertise to ensure risks and opportunities are managed to ensure predictable, improved performance. Will be required to comprehend organizational development and structure, assess workload team/resource readiness, and gap management in a dynamic environment with conflicting priorities.  Required to effectively communicate across organizational boundaries within Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) and the enterprise RTX, to include external stakeholders.  Must also have a significant working knowledge of the regulatory environment (FAR’s DFAR’s, etc..) as well as with ITAR and EXIM requirements. Align and develop supply base capabilities with Raytheon technology needs in advance of requirements. Shape Raytheon's supply markets to deliver improved affordability and execution through supplier performance, investment, and accountability during sourcing activities.  Build a robust supply chain (Promote alignment, collaboration, accountability, value) and improve supplier performance (improve supplier development and demand signals, proactive understanding of our suppliers' risks, vulnerabilities, and approach in adapting to current market conditions and trends. Improve material delivery assurance and identify capability gaps through supplier health and capacity assessments, supplier performance management and identification of major areas of risk from assessments and corrective actions.  Provide demand rigor and realism in program planning (S&OP), develop collaborative constraint management plans, escalation plans, active action item resolution and proactively identifying and mitigating risk. 

Qualifications You Must Have  

Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and 14 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 12 years of relevant experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Industry knowledge and experience and an executive level ability to proactively correlate and connect diverse and often conflicting market information and trends, often with limited visibility, with their eventual business impact on Raytheon's programs. Ability to effectively communicate, influence and persuade at all levels of Raytheon to position the business ahead of market trends, based on subject matter expertise. Position will require executive level engagement skills and the ability to condense complex market and product data into persuasive / informative presentations geared towards RTX, Raytheon, and our suppliers’ executives to influence supply base resiliency, execution and/or action planning.  Ability to lead a detailed information exchange that will have an influence over key executive decisions concerning the business strategy and execution. Act as a conduit to senior management on supply base progress and major risks / threats to the business. Ability to work with Raytheon’s functional level leadership interacting with Corporate senior leaders and supply chain leaders from the Raytheon Businesses to develop standard company supply chain initiatives and strategies. Ability to shape and influence strategic alignment despite resistance and tactical thinking through a common organizational vision and strategic approach.

This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
