About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Raytheon team as a Senior Hardware Design Production Support Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to production engineers, ensuring the smooth transition of new products to production, and resolving design and manufacturing issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot hardware, test station, and process issues down to component levels, and resolve design issues on RTX production lines and with suppliers.
  • Failure Analysis and Root Cause Determination: Conduct failure analysis and root cause determination to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Circuit Analysis and Design: Perform analog and digital circuit analysis, including characterization, modeling, and simulation of electrical signals in electronics subsystems, and identify and instantiate circuit card and subassembly design updates.
  • Test Equipment and Procedures: Partner in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the transition to production of new Receiver Exciter Products and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve production issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' of prior work experience, or an Advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years' of prior work experience.
  • Technical Skills: A minimum of three (3) years of Engineering experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis, and/or digital signal processing, and experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
  • Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required, and U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership and Technical Expertise: Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem, leadership of small technical teams, and experience with subsystems integration and test.
  • Technical Writing and Presentation: Technical writing and formal presentation experience, and communications skills to interface with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines.
  • Tools and Software: Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), and Advanced Design System (ADS).
