SUMMARY

The Project Manager, Store Operations is responsible for developing detailed strategy, project scope and implementation plans to manage multiple projects in support of store operations. Vets all processes and procedures before, during, and after implementation to stores, ensuring clear communication and description of changes, creates trainings, and follows up to ensure effectiveness. Works with the operations project team on all projects, initiatives, and updates that affect the stores and field team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement policies, trainings, and procedures on assigned projects, initiatives, and updates, ensuring the project meets goals and expectations. Control project scope, schedule, and cost. Provide thorough planning and leadership when creating project plans, facilitating working sessions and setting up key meetings. Communicate project related status information effectively across departments. Assist in maintaining and updating training documents as new policies, procedures, and initiatives are rolled out, and create training documents for new initiatives. Build relationships with leaders and business partners throughout Hibbett I City Gear to ensure projects meets goals and deadlines and create buy-in for changes. Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve project or initiative issues in a timely manner. Build communication around new projects and initiatives, ensuring business partners involved in the project are well informed and trained. Assist other member of the project management team when necessary. Ensure effectiveness of assigned projects, initiatives, and updates. Follow up on implementation to ensure projects are running smoothly. Identify performance and resistance gaps and work with appropriate teams to develop and execute corrective actions. Develop targeted and actionable change management plans including communication plans, training plans, and roll out schedules, to ensure successful delivery of initiative. Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

5 or more years of retail management experience. Demonstrated ability to influence others at multiple levels of the organization Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues as well as recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. Strong professional written and oral communication skills Advanced Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint skills. MicroStrategy Business Intelligence experience is also preferred.
