Operations Management: Oversee daily maritime operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and port operations. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively. Cost Management: Develop and implement strategies to minimize operational costs while maintaining high service standards. Compliance: Ensure all maritime operations comply with international, federal, and local regulations and standards. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of maritime operations staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.Knowledge and Skills to be successful:
Minimum of 5 years of experience with imports, FCL, LCL, and air freight 2 years’ experience as a Assistant Manager Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams Strong knowledge of maritime logistics, including vessel operations, cargo handling, and port management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance standardsKoch Maritime is a third-party logistics (3PL) company that provides smarter supply chain solutions for shipping, management, retail partnerships, and distribution.
