Position Summary

The NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking an Assistant Director, Custom and Strategic Innovation for their Academic Affairs and Innovation department. This role will serve as a key supporting resource and liaison in administration and management of customized education programs for SPS. Duties included: Provide expertise in the processes and requirements to execute on strategic planning and custom program operations. Support, coordinate and facilitate all facets of portfolio from origination, contract review, database management, budget tracking, liaising with SPS academic units and university partners for custom programs. Facilitate and support SPS continuing education courses and certificate programs. Provide operational support for onsite and online custom academic programs throughout all phases of program life cycles maintaining SPS and university-wide systems and standards. Support other school-wide academic initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in higher education administration, policy, or management, or other related field.

Required Experience:
5+ years progressively responsible experience in an academic or institution; background and knowledge in continuing ed and administration of custom programs.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to maintain and analyze data as well as to communicate and present data in a variety of ways to various stakeholders. Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative assessment and data interpretation skills; Ability to implement and interpret policies and procedures and to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and solve problems collaboratively. Ability to deliver consistently high quality, timely service and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously in a high volume, fast paced and changing work environment. Ability to establish priorities and to work independently and as part of team, take initiative, and follow through to completion. Proficiency with Higher Ed institutional systems, applications and workflows for admissions, enrollments, project management, databases, and CRMs, including Slate, Google Suite, Office.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
