Sr. Incentive Compensation Operations Analyst

AWS is seeking an experienced Senior Incentive Compensation Operations Analyst. In this role you will be a key member of a team responsible for administering compensation plans and payouts. Specific responsibilities include managing the sales incentive compensation team's interactions with Amazon payroll, managing communication with Sales Operations on sales incentive compensation timelines, supporting rhythm of the business activities (including weekly business reviews and operational planning), and responding to inquiries from senior leadership.

Ideal candidates have superior analytical abilities and proven track records for rolling up their sleeves, maintaining a high level of ownership and accountability, and delivering best-in-class support to internal and external customers.

You will support the day-to-day administration of sales compensation and will:

- Validate data; quantify impact through data analysis and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
- Identify operational risks and engage necessary stakeholders to frame issues and the desired end states
- Communicate effectively with technical teams on root causes of issues and business requirements.
- Conduct User acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
- Assist with the distribution of sales compensation SPIF and Incentives processing and payments
- Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures and governance are followed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including, AWS Product Team, Business Operations Team, and Sales organizations to ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures are maintained in production
- Support the global quarterly commission payout process including manual compensation adjustments, calculations and approval process
- Create mechanisms to help improve efficiency of processes.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering; or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
- Strong SQL skills
