Summary

The Director, Corporate Social Responsibility position is responsible for the development, planning, and execution of GAF’s community engagement (CE) strategy, initiatives and programs that advance GAF in the communities and with key stakeholders in our communities across the GAF network of facilities and throughout North America. This role will lead and direct the strategic implementation of CE initiatives - including stakeholder engagement, education, relationship management, recruitment of and with national community partners, executing corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and programs. This role leads cross-functional and business unit engagement and activation to support GAF’s overall CSR and CE efforts in our plant communities in support of the GAF Community Matters social impact initiative and supports GAF’s marketing and communications efforts to help generate and share stories/content that reinforce GAF’s brand promise and efforts to build our reputation.

Essential Duties

Develop and direct Community Engagement (CE) strategy, initiatives and programs

Support corporate sustainability and overall Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and brand positioning

Direct and lead the CSR/CE team and support local plant and functional CE champions and representatives to educate, empower and implement CE programs in their communities and across the company

Establish and implement social impact measurement framework, rubric and reporting plan for GAF and nonprofit partner organizations

Lead signature partnerships as a relationship manager with nonprofits and consultants

Lead GAF’s efforts and protocol for negotiating, processing and recording agreements with signature non profit organizations

Lead new partnership acquisition planning and development to support GAF Community Matters strategy

Direct financial contributions and in kind donations annual planning and execution throughout the year

Partner with the communications and marketing teams (social and digital teams, agency resources and operating company communications individuals) to help identify content for storytelling about CE and CSR programs/stories to help build and protect GAF’s reputation

Drive collaboration with plant communities, including employees, service organizations, local government, and nonprofits

Develop and execute innovative, industry-leading projects that invigorate communities and enhance economic and social health

Serve as a corporate representative to report on CE and CSR initiatives at internal and external meetings/events

Work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Bachelor's Degree

Strong initiative and capability for proposing/developing new strategies
