Key Responsibilities: Grants Development: 
  • Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals. 
  • Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process. 
  • Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results. 
  • Develop and submit grant applications.  
Grants Management  
  • Lead the entire lifecycle of grants and contracts, including proposal development, award negotiation, and post-award management. 
  • Oversee the administration and management of sub-grants to ensure compliance with funder requirements. 
  • Keep the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring smooth completion of work responsibilities. 
  • Oversee the job of invoicing, accounting, reporting, and other administrative functions to ensure successful execution of the grant process. 
  • Monitor paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs. 
  • Maintain records of all payments and receivables and prepare monthly records for all grant-related activities.  
Strategic Partnership and Networking: 
  • Develop and nurture relationships with potential funding partners, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies. 
  • Attend relevant conferences, meetings, and events to expand the organization's network. 
  • Collaborate with other organizations to identify and pursue collaborative funding opportunities. 
 Grants Records Management: 
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive and organized grants management system. 
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all grant-related activities, including proposals, reports, and communications. 
  • Regularly audit and update grant records to ensure compliance with organizational and funder requirements. 
Development of Grants Management Capacity: 
  • Provide training to new management staff on grants management and reporting requirements.  
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on best practices in grants management. 
  • Stay informed about changes in grant regulations and guidelines, updating policies and practices accordingly. 
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in grants management within the organization. 
Management of Sub-grants: 
  • Collaborate with sub-grant recipients to provide support and guidance as needed. 
  • Conduct regular assessments of sub-grantee performance and provide feedback for improvement. 
Reporting: 
  • Manage and support the grants requirement and implementation for the organization. 
  • Develop and maintain a reporting schedule to ensure timely and accurate submission of grant reports. 
  • Collaborate with program managers and finance to compile relevant data for reporting. 
  • Provide comprehensive and insightful analysis in grant reports to showcase impact and outcomes. 
  • Provide detailed reports to the founders and the board of directors regarding the organization's progress.

Working Conditions:  
  • Work schedule: 20 Hours a week.  
  • Work environment: On-site.   
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, climb stairs, balance, sit, walk, type, kneel, and crouch.  
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
 Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of grant development experience in the nonprofit sector.  
  • Grant Professional Certification (GPC) or similar certifications preferred. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
