About the Role:Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, SAP PTP Functional Consultant, to join our client’s dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services, particularly focusing on the Procure to Pay (PTP) functions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in SAP implementation, configuration, and support, contributing to the business value and operational efficiency of our client.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and sequencing of end-to-end design workshops, leveraging industry best practices and global SAP implementation experience.
  • Enforce the adoption of standard tools like Solution Manager, Charm Management, and JIRA.
  • Provide leadership during problem-solving and crisis management situations.
  • Identify and address gaps between requirements and current solutions, developing options and estimates to close these gaps.
  • Communicate effectively with IT partners and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to manage the execution of software delivery deliverables.
  • Monitor critical PTP processes, ensure proper alerting, and automate recurring incidents.
  • Support in preparing and conducting prioritization meetings for enhancements and defects with various functional partners.
  • Offer functional expertise, guidance, and instruction to stakeholders.
  • Help team members understand the broad implications of decision-making.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Convert technical and functional specifications into test scenarios and scripts.
  • Ensure compliance with IT controls, SOX regulations, and audit requirements on the SAP Pharma Platform.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Functional expertise in Procure to Pay (PTP) and Supplier EDI reporting using EDI852/EDI867.
  • Experience in designing and configuring SAP MM, LE, and SD modules.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale SAP implementations.
  • Strong configuration skills in SAP MM and SD modules supporting functions like Purchasing, Master Data, Pricing, Inventory Management, Accounts Payable, and more.
  • Proficiency in integrating SAP modules (SD, MM, FI) and external ERP systems.
  • Experience in requirement gathering and creating functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with ASAP (Accelerated SAP) Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong SAP integration experience with EDI, WMS, and non-SAP systems.
