Badging ID Specialist

Enroll, issue and activate numerous types of identification cards, including SmartID Cards.  Support the appointment managing activities in the time trade GSA scheduling tools.  Operate the USAccess system.  Perform certificate rekey, pin reset, and card updates activities. Training is provided to all new hires, but experience in a fast-paced environment is beneficial (preferably in a federal badge/ID office or similar setting). This position uses some subject matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence.

Compensation: 

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour based on Exprience/Skills. In addition, health and welfare of $4.22 per hour up to 40 hours worked, applied to benefits. 

 

Badge and ID Specialist Job Duties

Assist customers in a timely manner with the following listed below:

  1. Enrollments
  2. Activations
  3. Programming
  4. Updates
  5. Key Issuance
  6. Key Returns
  7. Check-in all badges and complete the steps listed below:
    1. add to the appropriate spreadsheets
    2. send out the correct notifications
    3. file the badges in alphabetical order
    4. send email to the team acknowledging we received badges with the following steps listed below:
      • Full name
      • Affiliation
      • If applicant is Cleared to Onboard
      • If applicant is In Good Standing
      • If applicant is a New Hire
      • If applicant is a Political
      • If the badge is a Replacement
  • Complete the Badge Office Inventory in a time manner daily
  • Efficient with the Reports Portal
  • Efficient with PSS 2.0
  • Assist the Office Manager and Security Specialist in the day-to-day Badge Office duties:
  • Performs day-to-day badging and credentialing operations to ensure employees, contractors, affiliates, and other personnel authorized an identification badge have been processed in accordance with established Federal regulations in conjunction with USAAccess Security Policies and Federal law.
    1. Prepare Badge Office/Conference Room
      1. Turn computers and workstations on
      2. Prepare log sheets (with current date)
      3. Turn phone volume up/down
      4. Turn tv on/off
      5. Keep Badge Office area clean and neat
      6. Log off computers and workstations at the end of the day
    2. Report Lost/Damage/Expired Badges
    3. Send out notifications for Out-Processing and Left Agency
    4. Update and send out the PIV RRB Parking Validation Spreadsheet
    5. Send out Scheduled Appointment template
    6. Update Return Key Spreadsheets
    7. Complete Badge Office Inventory
    8. Transfer badges per request
    9. The ability to communicate orally and in writing
    10. Great customer service skills
    11. Motivated self-starter
    12. Other job duties as needed
