Amazon.com is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Financial Planning and Analysis team of the Amazon Music Finance team. In partnership with business, operations, and technology teams throughout Amazon, this position will drive strategic initiatives to improve financial reporting and customer experience through automation, process improvements, and defects prevention. This role will engage with executive leadership and cross functional teams to drive results.

The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have strong leadership skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. They will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment.

Key job responsibilities

> Driving planning and budgeting and related deliverables, and ensuring financial discipline and compliance.
> Prepare financial metrics, financial reporting, and financial analysis
> Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish
> Provide controllership over several variable costs of the business
> Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Familiarity with financial reporting software (Cognos)
