Sr Product Manager - Technical, Amazon Pay

Would you like to be part of a fast-growing fin-tech payments ecosystem at Amazon? The Amazon Pay team is looking for a Senior Product Manager-Technical to redefine its merchant experience and enable Amazon Pay to become a preferred payment method for Amazon customers anywhere they shop. Building a seamless registration product is critical for merchants to be able to transact with Amazon Pay within minutes. As the product leader, you will drive the vision for building a world-class merchant experience and work closely with developers, scientists, UX designers, and solution architects to execute this vision.

The ideal candidate for this role is creative, customer-obsessed, highly analytical, and comfortable diving into data, with strong UX, technical and business judgment, a knack for operating in ambiguous problem spaces, and a demonstrated ability to influence across teams.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for optimizing the merchant onboarding experience. You will define the end-to-end product experience, negotiate with internal and external partners, build a prioritized roadmap, and drive implementation with multiple tech teams. This is a high visibility role, which requires you to think big, create innovative solutions that will scale, and work with stakeholders across the US, EU, and JP.

Product Managers at Amazon Pay are entrepreneurs at heart. They are curious about our customers' problems and love listening to them, and they own their product’s performance, sometimes wearing multiple hats or leading cross-functional teams to bring a product to life.

This role requires strong comfort with data and attention to detail, the ability to work independently and with primary stakeholders to solve complex large-scale issues, the skill to manage both with and without authority, the ability to design solutions to various problems, and excellent communication skills at all levels.

A day in the life
Day-to-day activities include partnering with internal engineering leaders to define the right technical solution, understanding product integration gaps/bugs/issues with external partners, liaising with stakeholders in the US, EU, and JP to define customization and scaling plans across regions, and providing leadership updates through established mechanisms.

About the team
Amazon Pay is a high-growth startup business within Amazon. Amazon Pay is now available in 18 countries, allowing buyers to leverage Amazon’s trusted, convenient, and rewarding wallet for third-party purchase experiences online.
