Key job responsibilities Assess risk in subsidiary finance transactional processes (order to cash, procure to pay, payroll, etc.), execute quarterly subsidiary controls and deliver a subsidiary risk assessment identifying areas of concern, trending issues, and program/policy recommendations. Understand the subsidiary business and its operational and strategic priorities, drive action and innovation to improve business processes and controls in a pragmatic, cost-effective way for fast-growing businesses. Identify and drive resolution of any control issues, share best practices, publish dashboards and follow up on completion of key controls tasks. Analyze defect root causes and propose remediation and mitigation strategies, monitor remediation actions and follow up on internal control findings. Drive subsidiary operational and controllership effectiveness through data. Build reporting that focuses on the right measures of financial and operational health; lead programs and projects that deliver continuous improvement to these measures. Work cross-functionally across Finance (e.g. Treasury, Accounting, Tax) to ensure ongoing regulatory and Amazon policy compliance by acquired subsidiaries. Drive improvements at the program and individual subsidiary level with operational teams and Finance leaders. Educate subsidiary and Amazon stakeholders on priority controls and policies.
