Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize, develop and direct all facility educational inservices
  • Maintain facility staff educational compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations
  • Assist with and oversight of training for all clinical staff
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff and medical team
  • Assist clinical team in ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times
  • Other special projects and duties, as assigned

 

To join this team please have the following requirements: 

  • Primary Series of COVID Vaccination Required (or new bivalent COVID Vaccine or medical exemption)
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Rhode Island
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required;
    • Three (3) years or more years of experience as a unit manager/supervisor in a nursing care center, hospital or other related health care center on a subacute unit
  • Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
  • Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
  • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to skilled nursing care facilities
  • Experience and knowledge of Point Click Care electronic medical software strrongly preferred
