About the Role

Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all facility educational inservices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Create and deliver educational programs for clinical staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure that all facility staff educational compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Assist with and oversee training for all clinical staff, including new hire orientation and ongoing education.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team to ensure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Quality Care: Assist the clinical team in ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Primary Series of COVID Vaccination Required (or new bivalent COVID Vaccine or medical exemption) and a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Rhode Island.
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required, with three (3) years or more years of experience as a unit manager/supervisor in a nursing care center, hospital, or other related healthcare center on a subacute unit.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc. Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Must demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of team work and team concept.
