Account Executive

POSITION PURPOSE: The primary duties of this position are to build and maintain effective long-term relationships with customers by understanding client strategy and values. Defines and develops a multi-channel sales strategy that positions the company for growth. Responsible for capitalizing on existing business via customer engagement calls and other communication approaches which are intended to increase profitable revenue. Creates demand for products and services by underscoring the company’s products and services with the clients. Has in depth knowledge of the market, needs and challenges. Utilizes market share, account data, analytics, trends and competitive information to drive overall strategy. Presents period sales updates to sales management on account development and trends. Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising awareness and interest with customers through a data driven analytical approach .
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs more complex sales transactions or processes by applying an advanced level of technical expertise and judgement to achieve desired work outcomes. Maintains an effective relationship with aportfolio of clients, while maintaining athorough knowledge of the client’s products and technology, as well as industry trends. Controls requests for pricing from customer and manufacturers reps by utilizing competition information, market intelligence and current price list to recommend prices that will fit customer’s request and fall within profit objectives. Collaborates with other sales teams while providing overall customer satisfaction. Identifies opportunities for incremental profit growth, presents creative solutions to customers and closes business to achieve sales goals. Continuous personal development of the industry, company products, services and processes. Gathers information to recommend the approval or denial of deductions and allowances based on an investigation of information gathered from sales files and other relevant sources. Provides assistance to current and potential customers by maintaining an expert knowledge base of OWI products and pricing structure. Compiles, analyzes, and recommends changes to projections from sales staff, manufacture representatives, and customers to prepare future production requirements. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve the profitability of the entire customer relationship. Intimately understands customer’s environment and strategic priorities to build value propositions which drive growth. Responsible for ensuring that all commitments either verbal or written are documented in the customer’s sales file. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing (related field) required or equivalent experience, including account management. 5+ years’ sales experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Proven track record of sales prospecting. Building and nurturing internal and external relationships. Must be independent, detail oriented, highly organized, computer literate, possess the ability to multi-task and create clarity in a complex environment. Must work at a fast pace with a high level of accuracy while managing competing priorities under moving deadlines. Ability to become proficient in new technologies to efficiently manage business processes. Successful relationship-building skills Excellent sales, project management, analytical, written, oral, communication, and presentation skills. Self-starter, possess high energy, solid presentation, creative and analytical skills. Experience negotiating successful resolutions to complex challenges. Knowledge of SAP preferred Knowledge of Tableau Reporting Software preferred Requires ability to travel in the region for business calls and industry conferences Requires a valid driver’s license-
