Description

Essential Duties:

Primary responsibility is the accurate and efficient scheduling of Interventional Radiology Services at CMC. Representatives must use quality customer service techniques to ensure patient needs are met. Maintain professional interpersonal skills with patients, physicians and co-workers. Triaging Interventional Radiology Orders to other facilities as needed for ease of patient scheduling. Supports department operations.

Additional Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications

Education

High school Diploma or Equivalent

Required Credentials, License, and / or Certifications

 CHAA- Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred

Experience & Knowledge:

Customer service experience, preferably in medical field. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Prior experience working with multiple physician practices to coordinate exams and obtain patient information. Detail oriented. Ability to multi-task.

 Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge

Extensive experience with computer systems including RIS. 3-5 years Radiology scheduling preferred

This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. UH employees must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
