Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Select Employment Services, Inc. as a Radiology Imaging Specialist. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for diagnostic procedures, operating imaging equipment, and producing high-quality images for medical professionals to interpret.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and properly positioning them for optimal image capture.
- Operate imaging equipment, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CT scanners, to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue.
- Understand and complete necessary requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner and schedule all exams accurately.
- Perform diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic/CT exams on patients in the department and with portable equipment.
- Inject IV contrast media as needed and perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols.
- Identify equipment failures and diagnose general problems with radiographic machines and processors.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions related to equipment or procedures.
- Move and transport patients to and from the department as required.
- Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
- Attend required in-services and orientations.
- Work closely with floor staff to build positive relationships and facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements
- At least three (3) years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
- Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
- Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
- Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
