Summary

The goal of this position is to enhance sales performance by providing the US Ostomy Sales Team with tools, resources, programs and training tailored to build the capabilities of the US Ostomy Sales team, enabling them to achieve the annual operating plan goals. This position is responsible for driving standardization of best practices across the US Ostomy team.

Responsibilities

Partner with the US Ostomy Sales Leadership Team to build long-term commercial capability across Hollister Ostomy as a key driver of business performance by generating market engagement, helping to understand the capability gaps, and developing appropriate capability solutions to enable the implementation of sales excellence programs. Support and lead SPRINT selling training sessions for the field. Partake in field co-travels driving SPRINT selling platform execution. Collaborate with Marketing to produce sales training programs and materials, and ensure promotional materials are aligned with consultative selling approach. Ensure effective management and deployment of the sales onboarding process. Effectively prepare new sales Associates by conducting initial sales training, developing individual training plans and making support readily available. Work with Sales Managers to implement a train-the-trainer approach on all programs. Ensure frequent measurable health checks to ensure consistent delivery of onboarding programs, sales selling systems, and use of sales enablement tools. Assess the effectiveness of training courses by reviewing course evaluations, partnering with Sales Managers, and revising programs accordingly. Lead the sales mentor program through annual in-person and virtual mentor coaching sessions. Serve as a permanent member of the Sales Advisory Team. Support a high-performance culture by ensuring excellence in Sales is demonstrated by all sales Associates. Serve as a Salesforce.com champion to maximize the benefits within the platform for mentors and the field through collaboration with Salesforce.com team and NSM.

Essential Functions of the Role

The job requires travel: up to 70% for non-local candidates and up to 35% for local (Libertyville, IL) candidates.

Work Experience Requirements

At least 5 years with a successful track record in a sales environment. Sales management or Mentor experience required.

Education Requirements

B.S./B.A. (required); Preferably in an area of management, management development or related field. MBA preferred. Certified in Sales Enablement tool(s) and/or selling platform preferred.

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

Strong practical knowledge of sales enablement systems such as Salesforce.com Strong interpersonal skills in order to collaborate across multiple functions (e.g. sales, business development, marketing, human resources, finance, global commercial excellence). Experience in the design, delivery and embedding of sales capability programs across a whole organization. A compelling communicator who can establish credibility as a subject matter expert. Strategic thinking and business planning skills, necessary to diagnose needs; and develop strategies and training to address needs. Project management experience of successfully managing cross functional teams through projects or initiatives. Strong presentation/facilitation skills. Capability to develop new solutions to react to market conditions. Understanding of the Ostomy marketplace and competition.

Local Specifications

Fluent English (Written and Verbal). Must be able to travel as needed. Participation in all meetings as required.
