Responsibilities

Understanding of the types of surveys and the purpose of each including topographic, boundary, subdivision, ALTA, construction layout, and as-built surveys Collect quality survey data. Oversee the operation and maintenance of survey equipment. Operate survey instruments including level, robotic total stations with electronic data collectors. Takes accurate and clear notes and note reduction. Reads and understands plans and specifications. Train survey crew members in the use of equipment and proper field techniques. Adherence to company safety policies along with use of supplied personal protective equipment, (PPE) Be a positive representative of the company and its core values.
Qualifications

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel out of town occasionally for projects. Minimum 2 years of field and survey technician experience Proficiency in construction staking, performing ALTA, boundary and topographic surveys. Must have working knowledge of Robotic Total Stations, and GPS. Able to operate and train others in the use of survey equipment including conventional and electronic instruments and computers (hardware and software) Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing. High School diploma or GED Must be able to pass drug screening. Must be able to lift equipment or materials up to 50 pounds. Good written and verbal communication skills.
