Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion.
  • Engage with clients to grasp business needs and collaborate with the project team to define project scope, budget forecasts, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Guarantee the precision and timely delivery of plans and proposals.
  • Travel frequently to client sites for initial meetings, progress updates, and final deliverables.
  • Establish new projects, develop work plans, and assess resource needs.
  • Organize and coordinate teams and tasks to maintain project timelines.
  • Lead the project team in application design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Define project scope, fees, and budgets.
  • Monitor project expenditures to stay within the allocated budget.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on project status.
  • Manage risk, change control, and quality assurance activities.
  • Handle invoicing for assigned projects and provide financial forecasts to leadership.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Upload and process field crew survey data using relevant CAD software.
  • Oversee CAD mapping of survey projects from planning to final delivery.
  • Implement company standards for survey production and quality control.
  • Offer mentorship and training to both field and office teams.
  • Assist in project planning, estimating, scheduling, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Geomatics.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in consulting and project leadership.
  • SI certification required; PLS certification preferred.
  • Experience in leadership roles, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of land surveying data collection methods and software.

Working Conditions

This role may occasionally require evening or weekend work and outdoor site visits. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment.

Physical Requirements

The position may involve repetitive tasks, prolonged periods of sitting or standing, extended computer use, and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
