Senior Accountant /CPA

 

Position Type: Full-time

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

As part of their expansion plans, they are seeking a talented Senior Accountant who is not only proficient in accounting practices but also possesses the ambition and drive to eventually take over the company and its client base.

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax knowledge, and experience working with a variety of clients. This individual will be responsible for handling financial statements, reconciliations, and tax returns for a significan client base. Client interaction and maintaining strong relationships are essential aspects of this role, as is the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Conduct reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist clients with tax planning and preparation during tax season
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Sage products to manage client accounts
  • Act as a client-facing representative, providing exceptional service and building trust
  • Oversee staff members handling clerical tasks and ensure smooth operations
  • Manage and interact with clients from various industries.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with a CPA certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong tax knowledge and experience with tax preparation
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ambition and drive to eventually take over the company and its client base
  • Previous experience running a business is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
