Walker Macy is seeking a landscape architect or landscape designer with 4-6 years of professional experience for our Portland, OR office to assist in the design and technical development of projects.

Walker Macy is a nationally recognized design firm that leads landscape architecture, urban design, and planning projects throughout the Western United States. While our focus is on public projects – including parks, waterfronts, and campuses – we have a broad range of work that includes site design for civic and cultural buildings, interpretive centers, and mixed-use development. We have a collaborative and team-oriented professional culture with a commitment to contextual design approaches, innovation, sustainability, and client satisfaction.

Skills Required:

This position requires a professional degree in landscape architecture (BLA or MLA), detail-oriented design skills, graphic representation, experience producing construction documents for medium or large-scale projects, and experience coordinating with other design and engineering consultants. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and flexible, with strong communication skills, willingness to take initiative and an interest in working as part of a team. Professional experience working in AutoCAD or Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, and SketchUp or Rhino is required. Knowledge of LandFx and an interest in planting design is also beneficial.
