The Opportunity:

I. Job Summary

The VP of BI will provide leadership, vision and direction to the architecture and user interface design of business intelligence.

II. Job Competencies

III. Essential Job Functions

Interpret business requirements and determines optimum BI solutions to meet needs --Work closely with all levels of management and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions to deliver essential information to satisfy their informational needs.

Establish, implement, and administer Business Intelligence policies and procedures

Overall leadership for budgeting and optimizing the cost, risk, and value of BI applications throughout their lifecycle

Responsible for translating organizational vision and priorities into a business intelligence strategic framework and roadmap

Responsible for developing and implementing technological innovations in support of data gathering and usage throughout the organization

Lead the Business Intelligence/Data Analytics team and function in the enterprise and assume the responsibility for the effective performance of Business Intelligence functions

Promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning

Develop, execute, and manage day-to-day, annual, and long-term IT and BI plans

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Job Experience Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver work on assigned schedules Must demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, and leadership Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels in a demanding environment; establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to act decisively and independently to resolve complex issues Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in information technology, information systems, computer science with at least 5 years of supervisory/management experience 5+ years of team management experience leading, motivating, and developing a team Ideally have Microsoft (Azure) and/or Cisco certifications for Systems Administration Strong knowledge of technical project management, software development life cycle, agile methodology, user acceptance testing, and full-scope system testing Strong knowledge of process mapping, business process reengineering, and change management
