The Opportunity

I. Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Director will provide leadership, vision, and direction to the architecture and user interface design of business intelligence.

II. Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret business requirements and determine optimum BI solutions to meet needs
  • Work closely with all levels of management and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions
  • Establish, implement, and administer Business Intelligence policies and procedures
  • Overall leadership for budgeting and optimizing the cost, risk, and value of BI applications throughout their lifecycle
  • Responsible for translating organizational vision and priorities into a business intelligence strategic framework and roadmap
  • Responsible for developing and implementing technological innovations in support of data gathering and usage throughout the organization
  • Lead the Business Intelligence/Data Analytics team and function in the enterprise and assume the responsibility for the effective performance of Business Intelligence functions
  • Promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Develop, execute, and manage day-to-day, annual, and long-term IT and BI plans

III. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in information technology, information systems, computer science with at least 5 years of supervisory/management experience
  • 5+ years of team management experience leading, motivating, and developing a team
  • Ideally have Microsoft (Azure) and/or Cisco certifications for Systems Administration
  • Strong knowledge of technical project management, software development life cycle, agile methodology, user acceptance testing, and full-scope system testing
  • Strong knowledge of process mapping, business process reengineering, and change management
