Systems Administrator
The Student Information Systems (SIS) Administrator will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and will support the ministry of CCA by providing all SIS support necessary for the operations of a K-12 school. Support includes but is not limited to, user account management, user training and development, helpdesk, and system design for admissions, academics, athletics, events, etc. CCA uses Veracross Student Information Systems and previous knowledge of this system is encouraged but not required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 yrs. Experience required
- Database or student information system software experience required; experience in Veracross Student Information System preferred
- Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during normal business hours

Essential Functions
- Support school systems as directed by the Strategic Initiatives Director in collaboration with the CCA Administrators.
- Learn all existing and future features of the Veracross Student Information System to consistently provide necessary functionality to school end users.
- Manage all user accounts, including onboarding, offboarding, permissions, password resets, and role transfers.
- Monitor access controls, prevent unauthorized changes, and address data breaches promptly.
- In collaboration with IT Team, develop data security protocols to manage data integrity, provide data backups, and safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
- Develop standards and guidelines for the use of student information systems to protect vulnerable information.
- Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of systems; develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards; modify system structure to adapt to new requirements or improve workflow.
- Design system structure and workflow for areas including, but not limited to, admissions checklists, enrollment and re-enrollment, grade transfer, course offerings, parent/teacher conferences, schedule building, standardized testing, report cards, transcripts, etc.
- Review procedures in student information system manuals to make changes to database.
- Collaborate with CCA Administrators to customize system settings, appearance, and structure according to specific needs of the ministry.
- Collaborate weekly with CCA Administrators to evaluate system principles, requirements, functionality requests, and training needs.
- Test and implement system enhancements, updates, and feature additions based on user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Train new end users on basic system functionality how to use system effectively to accomplish their required tasks; plan and conduct continuous education training sessions for staff with training documentation for institutional knowledge and reference.
- Gather and submit feedback, address functionality limitations, and advocate for user requirements on behalf of users with Veracross Helpdesk and Development teams.
- Communicate system interruptions and/or system modifications to users as necessary.
- Provide technical assistance to end users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system malfunctions in collaboration with Veracross Helpdesk and Development teams.
- Coordinate and integrate other technology solutions to allow seamless transfer of information.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend additional school software technologies, as needed, to the Director of Strategic Initiatives in collaboration with the CCA Administrators.
