**Job Summary**:
The Student Employment Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the college’s internal student employment program. The Student Employment Manager will work closely with faculty, students, and staff and various college departments to provide valuable work experiences for students while ensuring compliance with college policies and regulations.

Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating and Celebrating.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Student Job Placement**:

- Collaborates with academic departments and administrative offices to identify and promote-on campus job opportunities for students.
- Facilitates the matching of student skill sets and career interests with available on-campus job positions.
- Provides training and resources for student employees to enhance their employment experience.

**Employer Relations**:

- Fosters and maintains strong relationships with college departments and offices offering student employment opportunities.
- Works with department heads and supervisors to define job descriptions, responsibilities and expectations for student employees.
- Provides training and resources to supervisors to enhance the student employment experience.
- Provides oversight and direction in the transition of student employees into internship opportunities.

**Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensures strict compliance with college policies and federal regulations related to student employment, including FWS regulations and wage rates.
- Maintains accurate records of student employment, including hours worked, wages and performance evaluations.
- Assists in processing employment paperwork and documentation as needed.

**Marketing and Promotion**:

- Develops and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness of on-campus job opportunities among students.
- Collaborates with the college’s marketing team to effectively promote available positions.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Collects and analyzes data pertaining to student employment trends and outcomes.
- Generates reports for college administrators and stakeholders to evaluate success of the program.
- Utilizes data insights to improve and enhance the student employment program.
- Manages budget process for hiring of students to include, federal work study, institutional funds, and Foundation funds, etc.
- Ensures student eligibility

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft and other college software systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving & customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of college policies and federal regulations related to student employment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.

**Minimum Qualifications & Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, education, counseling, Human Resources.
- Prior experience in career counseling, student services, or human resources is helpful.
