Leisure Sales Manager

Foster and manage relationships with exclusive travel programs, wholesale accounts, and high-end leisure travel agencies, aiming to meet or exceed designated sales and revenue targets. Conduct property representation and educational initiatives for key agencies through direct sales calls, customer events, resort familiarization trips, and participation in trade shows.
Responsibilities for the Sales Manager - Leisure encompass executing routine functions such as organizing and executing FAM (Familiarization) trips, conducting site tours, traveling, devising and implementing sales action plans, maintaining business contacts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves assisting in the annual commercial planning process, engaging in manager focus groups, participating in hotel industry associations, attending hotel functions as required, and nurturing strong working relationships with travel agency representatives in vital feeder markets to drive business growth. Responding promptly and professionally to guest needs and requests, representing and promoting the properties positively both internally and externally, attending mandatory meetings, and fulfilling assigned duties are essential aspects of this role.
The Sales Manager – Leisure is tasked with proactive and reactive sales efforts for both resorts, promptly responding to all inquiries to secure profitable wholesale and leisure business and attain transient segment goals. Additionally, the role supports sales plans and strategies, client development, relationship management, identification of new target markets, and product sales to surpass revenue objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Participating in various meetings with hotel staff and clients.
Adhering to the company's standards for sales and marketing while collaborating harmoniously with colleagues.
Maintaining flexibility in the work schedule to fulfill responsibilities.
Demonstrating negotiation skills and resilience under pressure.
Acquiring new business and expanding the customer base in assigned market segments.
Assisting in the development, implementation, and management of leisure promotions.
Gaining expertise in designated markets and staying informed about market trends and competition.
Engaging in sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, and business reviews.
Representing the hotels at trade shows, conventions, and promotional events.
Understanding and adapting sales plans and strategies in response to market dynamics.
Implementing best practices and policies to enhance sales service and client retention.
Cultivating relationships within the industry to foster wholesale/leisure sales opportunities.
Collaborating with off-property sales channels to coordinate sales efforts effectively.
Managing and nurturing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Skills required
Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or Hotel Management, or equivalent experience
Fluency in English
A minimum of three years experience in a luxury travel industry role with a proven track record of success
Familiarity with resort operations
Proficiency in business presentation formats
Computer literacy
Additional qualifications
excellent communication skills, a college education, previous experience in luxury leisure and wholesale sales management, strong selling and interpersonal abilities, the capacity to achieve yearly personal sales booking goals, and exemplary personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
