Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Sales Development Manager, who will manage the sales development representatives responsible for prospecting, generating qualified leads and assisting in advancing the sales process. The Sales Development Manager will actively participate in the planning and execution of the company's digital marketing program providing vital input based on their interactions with prospects. They will be directly responsible for qualification targets and adherence to the sales process in a CRM application and sales engagement platform.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well)

  • Responsible for the Sales Development Representatives (SDR) in assigned Division(s).
  • Hire, supervise, train, and develop all division/region SDRs.
  • Responsible for the attainment of SDR metrics and performance goals.
  • Analyze and report information in an effective manner to management and take corrective action as needed.
  • Responsible for building a high-performance culture to include annual engagement reviews and development initiatives.
  • Responsible for manpower planning and allocation.
  • Work closely with the sales and division leadership team to support the growth and profitability of the Division(s).
  • Work closely with Sciens Sales & Marketing teams. Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as tradeshows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Attend periodic sales training where applicable.
  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and company position.
  • Responsible to ensure all employees embrace our safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
  • University or college degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Five+ years in a Sales Development role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a Sales Development team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse group of individuals, including company leadership, regional staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong, positive team builder with leadership ability.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and/or sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, Engage or Salesloft.
  • Ability to attract, develop, grow, and retain a team.
  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of the product lines and applications as necessary, to make informed management decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills, excellent listening skills, strong written communication skills.
  • Customer-centric focused and detail-oriented.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
