Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney located in Birmingham, MI. As an Associate Attorney at Latham Law Group, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, and representing clients in court or other legal proceedings. You will work closely with the team in the firm in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of high volume dockets from intake through settlement.Conduct depositions, showcasing excellent questioning and information-gathering abilities.Determine legal strategies, create processes to support and execute on agreed to practicesLead a team of people including documenting instructions, executing training, performing quality audits, doing annual performance reviews, etc.Make filing decisions based on legal strategy decided on by the partnersCollaborate on medical record ordering guidelines with our medical team; review and analyze medical recordsActively participate in signing up new business, displaying strong interpersonal and business development skills.Contact clients to resolve issues, explain the litigation process and guide them through all phases of the litigation

QualificationsDoctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Michigan State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver or examinationExcellent academic credentials and writing skillsDemonstrated ability to work well in a team environmentProven experience in personal injury law, particularly motor vehicle accidents, is preferred.Strong organizational, research, and analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
