We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Team in the Electrical Power Distribution Industry. If you are an experienced sales professional with an interest in developing, maintaining, and improving channels, we would like to meet you. As a Business Development Manager, you will develop and maintain and improve house account relations and indirect channels to promote the company and product lines.

Responsibilities

This position is a performance-based position that requires both strategic planning and tactical carry-through to be successful. A can-do attitude is a must, along with a willingness to travel 50% or greater might be necessary to be successful in this forward-facing role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Research, development, and management of the assigned territories in order to meet or exceed company sales budgets
  • Manage Business Development activities of the organization within a given territory, while working with the CEO and Business Unit leaders to accomplish company goals
  • Develop and implement successful strategic territory business development and sales plans.
  • Provide sales pipeline information and forecasting activities to provide visibility to all areas within the company
  • Keep accurate and timely records of Business Development activity to assist in planning and execution of activities within the sales territory
  • Review market analysis and industry trends to determine market and customer needs
  • Represent Company at meetings and events to further corporate reach and increase Business Development activity
  • Deliver company overview presentations to key engineering firms, electrical contractors, general contractors and other channel partners and customers
  • Meet with key clients to maintain key relationships and find additional opportunities within those accounts in order to increase our share of market
  • Perform sales functions while making sure that expenditures conform to budgetary requirements
  • Assist in preparing company materials such as brochures, product data sheets, white papers and other marketing materials
  • Deliver corporate presentations to the leadership teams to show territory planning and execution planning, along with present and future territory sales expectations.
  • Assist in team related activities as needed to drive the company's lean Continuous Improvement Process initiatives by serving on focus teams
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
