Business Development Director

The Business Development Director is responsible for growing and maintaining a portfolio of medical billing clients in our dedicated Southeast Territory (subject to change due to business needs). The associate will primarily be responsible for lead generation. Additional leads may be provided through the company website and referrals. The associate will develop leads into new business by growing strong relationships with physicians, administrators, and their staff.

This position will cover either our Southeast territory, but candidates can be based anywhere in the US.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years’ service-based sales and lead generation experience within the healthcare industry
  • Experience with healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or equally qualifying major preferred
  • Ability to travel upwards of 35-45%
  • Skilled to develop and foster mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in person and through electronic correspondence.
  • Ability to understand medical billing financial benchmarks and communicate them effectively to clients and prospects.
  • Capability to work in a fast pace and highly competitive environment with proven success.
  • Ability to think analytically and apply critical thinking skills to problem solving.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and multitask.
  • Capable of building and delivering presentations in PowerPoint, Prezi, or Canva.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Independently generate relationships with Ambulatory Surgery Center physicians, administrators, and associated vendor partners.
  • Attend trade shows or visit surgery centers frequently to meet with potential customers and develop relationships.
  • Foster relationships to build out a pipeline of potential new business.
  • Schedule out additional touch points due to customer need utilizing sales software.
  • Sign 500k+ in new business annually.
  • Maintain your portfolio on our sales software by keeping track of client profiles, notes, proposals, and contracts.
  • Negotiate contracts with potential clients and communicate value proposition to administrators, physicians, and boards of directors.
  • Act as client liaison/escalation point for your entire book of business.
  • Visit clients regularly to maintain strong communication/relationships.
  • Quickly and effectively work with operations team to resolve areas of client concern.
  • Prepare and present financial updates for client shareholders/stakeholders.
