  • Visit customer sites to assess customer needs and potential, to develop and maintain strong relationships, and to generate and close sales.
  • Hold yourself accountable for high performance.
  • Prospect and develop new accounts and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Become a part of your customers' business.
  • Interact with inside sales staff to generate support.
  • Look for new opportunities for growth and revenue generation.
  • Know your marketplace and communicate with your manager.
  • Ensure professionalism and ethical conduct when dealing with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Engage in continual training on our products to become a valued technical resource to your customers.

Experience you will need:

  • Experience in inside or outside sales.
  • Outstanding customer service, communication, and persuasion skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of our products or the curiosity to learn them.
  • The ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
  • Ability to interact with engineers on technical matters.
  • An engineering or business degree and outside industrial sales experience would be ideal.
  • Industrial distribution experience.
  • Track record of growing sales.
  • Experience in Automation (i.e., PLCs, I/O, SCADA & DCS).
  • In-depth knowledge of instrumentation (i.e., Flow, Level, Temperature & Pressure, etc
