Scope of Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Kinney Drugs Foundation. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
Job Summary: Responsible for the development, implementation and management of comprehensive Fundraising and Public relations/Marketing programs for Kinney Drugs Foundation. Works directly with the foundation Board to establish strategic planning, program development and annual goals and objectives.
This opening is not remote and can be filled out of our Syracuse or Gouverneur, NY offices.

Fund Development:
In coordination with the Board of Directors develop and implement fund raising programs and strategies for the Foundation in the following areas: Annual Giving, Planned Giving, and Major Gifts.
Identify, cultivate, solicit and recognize individual, corporate and foundation donors for outright gifts and pledges.
Develop and conduct special events/fundraisers (ie. Charity Golf, CMN, Kinney Store Foundation Fundraiser, Canister Program, etc.)
Public Relations/Marketing:
Serve as liaison between Community and Foundation
Serve as interface between Foundation and all divisions within KPH
Be actively involved in community and activities
In conjunction with the Board President, serve as media spokesperson for Foundation
Prepare, implement and develop marketing materials in conjunction with the KPH marketing team to support the Annual Marketing Plan
Increase the awareness of the Foundation through press releases, photo opportunities, public speaking, and participation in community events.
Initiate and coordinate Foundation outreach programs and activities including fundraisers and informational booths.
Offer support and attend fundraisers conducted by other groups, business on behalf of the foundation
Recruit and coordinate volunteer base for Foundation fundraisers, special events and programs.
Foundation Office:
Receive, process and present all requests for grants or donations to the Foundation Board.
Prepare the appropriate follow up for each individual/agency requesting such donations
Responsible for Donor and Prospective Donor Database, and maintain record keeping.
Assist in proper and timely financial reporting, including annual audit and report, in conjunction with Board Secretary/Treasurer.
Develop and maintain the software program Giftworks our Donor Recognition System Interface with various auditors and outside agencies
Coordinate and prepare Board, Committee and public meetings ensuring agenda and minutes are prepared and entered into the record.
Strive to ensure the Foundation meets all regulatory requirements
Assist in the budgetary planning process
Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
Must be able to work with broad spectrum of donors, volunteers and professionals
Job Skills Required:
Requires knowledge and experience in Microsoft Suite of Office Products.
Must be able to speak in public and group presentations
Education:
Preferred: AS Degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
Experience:
Preferred: 3-5 years previous experience in Public Relations, Community Relations and special events.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Drug test
Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position
Compensation
$19.06-$24.39 an hour
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
