Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled HR Specialist to act as the on-site HR leader for our esteemed client, Rochester Precision Instruments (RPI), in Rochester, NY. This role requires a proactive approach to handling a wide range of HR responsibilities and the ability to respond effectively to the client's diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration: Manage day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to employee records management, HR compliance, and onboarding processes.

Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, ensuring quick, equitable, and courteous resolution. Foster a positive work environment and uphold company values.

Recruitment and Staffing: Oversee the recruitment process for new hires at the client site, including job postings, interviews, hiring decisions, and onboarding.

Performance Management: Implement performance review processes and work with management to ensure timely execution. Provide support for performance improvement plans and employee development.

Training and Development: Identify training needs and organize training sessions to meet compliance requirements and promote employee growth.

Policy Implementation: Ensure all HR policies and procedures are consistently applied and conform to legal requirements. Adapt policies as needed to fit the client's environment.

Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR metrics and reporting systems. Provide regular reports on HR-related metrics to both the client and your employer.

Client Interaction: Work closely with client management to understand their HR needs and develop solutions supporting the client's business goals.

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Salary:

$18 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in human resources, with a strong foundation in HR practices and labor laws.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.

Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

Experience working as an on-site HR representative or in a client-facing role.
