HRIS Business Application Manager

The HRIS Business Application Manager position will work with leadership and stakeholders across the organization to identify gaps and needs with a focus on system enhancements, upgrades and future state of HR systems. This role will provide system support, innovative and integrated reports, operational support and long-term strategic solutions for the organization’s HRIS needs. The person in this role will partner with HR, Finance and IT and provide advanced application and technology solutions to align with business needs and requirements.
Responsibilities:

Support the HRIS team in partnering with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and IT in maintaining and developing human resource systems and related processes.
Act as a data steward to protect confidential and personally sensitive data.
Establish an intermediate level understanding of HR system architecture relating to connectivity, corporate systems integration, and employee data flow across several corporate core systems.
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to our core HR system and integrations with related corporate systems and processes.
Assist in system integrations or vendor conversions for all related HR systems.
Perform intermediate level system configuration changes in multiple environments leveraging a firm knowledge of change control procedures.
Investigate and troubleshoot intermediate to advanced level system, process, and report errors. Deliver solutions to resolve errors.
Develop test plans and execute scripts to systematically test system functionality, data validation, and system upgrades or patches in multiple environments.
Analyze and compile information to process mass loads as assigned.
Independently run intermediate level system and data administration processes as assigned.
Assist with mass data entry assignments as assigned.
Manage/Maintain HR System vendor relationships.
Create and Maintain the HR Technology Strategy and Road map.
Keep current with internal HR system functionality changes and external trending HR Technology.
Be a system expert; align with functional business areas to understand business process and consultant on how to streamline and improve system functionality and process.
Cross-train to provide support for all HRIS functions.
Design intermediate to advanced level reports.
Extract, analyze, and assemble data US government compliance reporting relating to EEO, VETs, Disability, and Affirmative Action Reporting.
Use functional and technical knowledge to provide end-users with general guidance and informal training as needed.
Gather requirements to create and maintain written process documents for related HR and Finance systems.

Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
Bachelor Degree in IT or systems related degree and/or related field is required, with 5 – 7 years of HRIS relevant experience including knowledge of HR administration, organization management, time management and payroll processing.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and define how effectively varying technologies and business practices meet business requirements.
Proven experience in all phase of the implementation life cycle in HR systems projects including Change Management execution.
Demonstrated communication and customer service skills with a focus on resolving end user issues quickly and accurately.
Kronos Workforce Ready (WFR) experience preferred.
Expert knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
Ability to work independently in a complex, fast-paced, high volume environment
Effective communication skills required.
Must be able to obtain required license with the Maryland Lottery.
Physical Requirements:
You will need to walk up and down stairs to the Casino floor.
