Bergen Logistics, an innovator in the logistics space, is looking for a Business Development Manager to nurture and grow existing business as well as bringing in additional new business. We are a fast paced, high volume company and we are seeking a candidate that enjoys working in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are a must along with a sense of urgency. This position requires collaboration between multiple departments within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new business prospects

Draft responses to the request for proposals (RFPs), customized pitches and business development presentations.

Present new products and services to existing clients and potential leads.

Conduct, as needed, onsite partner visits, tours & online system demo to finalize and/or support ongoing client needs.

Act as a knowledge center resource on products, services, processes, and internal operations, all designed to increase new client applications.

Develop relationships with key accounts to negotiate profitable business terms

Participate in account planning and forecasting activities

Attend relevant trade shows

Work closely with the pricing team to draft new contracts with the ability to negotiate client leads

Other responsibilities as they are assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Solid understanding of client services industry.

Track record of growing revenue.

Adeptly explains features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full-service line.

Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals.

Ability to leverage strong business development skills and maintain an aggressive desire to grow business.

Prefer experience using a CRM but not required

Experience in the logistics or fashion industry is a plus
