Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Recruiter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for a variety of positions within the construction industry, including project managers, superintendents, estimators, skilled trades, and field staff. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-versed in full-cycle recruiting, and has a strong understanding of the unique demands of construction staffing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating, and onboarding candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand project staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Utilize job boards, social media, industry networks, and referrals to identify and attract top talent.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles.
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments to ensure alignment with job requirements and company culture.
  • Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and manage candidate communications throughout the process.
  • Negotiate job offers and work closely with HR on offer letters, background checks, and preemployment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Stay current on construction industry trends, labor market challenges, and competitive compensation practices.
  • Represent the company professionally at career fairs, networking events, and industry associations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably within the construction industry or related technical fields.
  • Strong knowledge of construction roles, responsibilities, and required skills.
  • Familiarity with recruiting tools, ATS platforms, and sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
