Job description

As a Retention Specialist at American Consumer Shows (ACS), you will work with a fun, friendly and energetic team, passionate about growing our business and providing our clients the highest level of service. With your persuasive skills and problem-solving mindset, you will execute customer retention strategies that drive revenue and foster lasting relationships with our clients throughout the United States. We offer starting compensation of $70,000, a raise of $2,500 after 90 days, a raise of $2,500 after 180 days, and additional raises every six months for two years, reaching $125,000 and higher Bring your winning attitude, drive, and serious desire to make money. We provide the training and the tools to get the job done

Established in 1979, ACS is the nation's leading event management producer in the wedding and home improvement industries, producing 230+ trade shows each year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients who are considering canceling their booth space at one of our events, address their concerns, and highlight the value of continued participation.
  • Foster client loyalty by ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive support and effective problem-solving.
  • Manage payment obligations, including collecting overdue payments and negotiating payment plans to avoid escalation to collections.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to analyze customer feedback and fine-tune retention strategies.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Must be tech savvy, extremely computer literate and comfortable working with multiple computer monitors.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply detailed information.
  • Outgoing personality (people person).
  • Excellent communication, selling and influencing skills.
  • Passion for being an integral part of a 45-year-old company with extraordinary growth ahead.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and Act (CRM) is a plus
