We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our professional team. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, familiarity with tax software, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations
  • Analyze financial documents and data to ensure accurate tax reporting
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to organize and process information
  • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies to clients
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping, financial analysis, and related accounting tasks
  • Maintain organized records of all tax documents and client information
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting our tax services to potential clients
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and efficiently

Experience

  • Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software
  • Strong knowledge of tax preparation procedures and relevant regulations
  • Experience with financial sales or marketing is a plus
  • Excellent analysis skills combined with math proficiency (including 10 key typing) for accurate data entry and calculations
  • Background in bookkeeping, technical accounting, or financial concepts is preferred
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients with varying levels of understanding
