Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and tax regulations, along with experience in tax software. This role is essential for assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing excellent customer service. This is a seasonal position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents to identify potential deductions and credits.
  • Utilize accounting software such tax slayer information and the tax preparation process.
  • Provide clients with advice on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
  • Assist clients in understanding complex financial concepts related to their taxes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance client service delivery.
  • Perform data entry tasks as needed, including maintaining accurate records for tax credits.
  • Demonstrate strong analysis skills to evaluate financial data effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred.
  • strong ablity to read and write fluently in English and Spanish
  • Familiarity with tax software
  • Excellent math skills with the ability to perform calculations accurately.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience in financial sales or marketing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry is desired.
