Omega Home Health Care Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support agency operations, billing accuracy, compliance, and clinical workflow efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about transforming healthcare data into meaningful insights that improve patient care, operational performance, revenue integrity, and staff accountability.

You will serve as the agency's data lead, building and maintaining advanced dashboards in Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI and working closely with the CEO, Pre-Billing Department, and clinical administration. You will analyze claims, OASIS outputs, patient-care metrics, staffing productivity, and revenue cycle data to drive informed decision-making and operational improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Leadership & KPI Development

  • Serve as the agency's primary data and analytics lead across operations, pre-billing, quality assurance, staffing, and finance.
  • Develop and maintain agency-wide KPI dashboards (Excel, SharePoint, Power BI) covering:
  • Billing timeliness
  • Documentation compliance
  • OASIS accuracy
  • Clinician productivity
  • Missed visits / reassessments
  • PDGM reimbursement trends
  • Claims cycle timelines
  • Employee performance metrics
  • Act as the "source of truth" for operational metrics, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

Analytical Support to the CEO & Pre-Billing Team

  • Translate ambiguous operational concerns into structured analytical questions.
  • Conduct deep analyses of claims, EVV, visit notes, and documentation patterns to identify drivers of delays or denials.
  • Partner with the CEO to evaluate operational risks, growth opportunities, staffing needs, and financial trends.
  • Evaluate pre-billing workflows to identify bottlenecks, automate repetitive tasks, and standardize processes.

Dashboard Creation & Reporting

  • Build dashboards and automated reporting systems in:
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, PowerQuery, macros, etc)
  • SharePoint lists & embedded dashboards
  • Power BI
  • Design reports that answer real business questions and are easy for non-technical staff to understand.

Data Transformation, ETL, and Verification

  • Extract, clean, merge, and validate data from EMR systems (Data Soft Logic etc), EVV sources, billing platforms, and internal spreadsheets.
  • Develop basic automations or data pipelines (PowerQuery, Power Automate, Python etc
  • Ensure the reliability and timeliness of all data used in dashboards and reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with nursing leadership, QA, intake, and pre-billing to identify trends and operational inefficiencies.
  • Support compliance by identifying gaps in timeliness, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Facilitate data-driven conversations, challenge assumptions, and provide recommendations.

AI & Workflow Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to improve workflow efficiency, data validation, or reporting standardization.
  • Provide suggestions on scalable improvements and automations to accelerate agency operations.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years' experience in Business Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, or Revenue Cycle Analytics (home health preferred but not required).
  • Advanced Excel skills (INDEX/MATCH/XLOOKUP, PowerQuery, pivot automation, conditional dashboards).
  • Strong experience building dashboards in Power BI, SharePoint, or similar BI platforms.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret clinical, billing, claims, or compliance data.
  • Experience cleaning and transforming large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills: able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Experience in home health operations, PDGM models, or OASIS data.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems like Data Soft Logic
  • Experience with Power Automate, SQL, andPython.
  • Previous experience leading system improvements or building scalable reporting infrastructure.
  • Experience using Generative AI tools for workflow optimization.
  • Project management certification or experience.

90-DAY PLAN

Within 30 Days

  • Complete orientation to agency structure, operations, and EMR workflows.
  • Meet CEO, Pre-Billing, and QA to understand current reporting gaps.
  • Review existing spreadsheets, KPIs, and reporting methods.
  • Map out data sources, data inconsistencies, and improvement areas.

Within 60 Days

  • Build initial KPI dashboards for:
  • Claims timeliness
  • Employee KPI metrics
  • Documentation compliance
  • Clinician productivity
  • Pre-billing lag times
  • Create standardized reporting templates for weekly operations meetings.
  • Begin recommending changes to improve reporting accuracy and data flow.

By 90 Days

  • Launch the first version of an agency-wide KPI dashboard (Excel/Power BI).
  • Present findings to CEO and departmental leads, including insights that reduce billing delays or improve productivity.
  • Identify at least one workflow that can be improved using automation or AI tools.
  • Establish a data governance process (validation steps, standard definitions, documentation).

Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $70,000 - $110,000.
