Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the efficient operation of all facility systems and equipment. This role involves managing maintenance activities, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in industrial maintenance, and a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Duties

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Manage the maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, schedules, and inventory.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide technical support for programmable logic controllers (PLC) and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance needs and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to plan and execute facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics, electrical work, high voltage, low voltage tasks, and mechanical repairs.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or facilities management environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance tracking.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage resources while ensuring that all safety standards are met. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence within the organization.
