Overview
We are seeking an accomplished
Senior Technical Program Manager
with deep experience in complex OSS/BSS environments within the cable, broadband, or telecommunications industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can quickly comprehend intricate system architectures, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver results in high-impact transformation programs.
The ideal candidate is an expert at navigating technical complexity — from legacy systems to modern platforms — while maintaining clear communication and alignment among business, architecture, and vendor teams.
This position is a long term hybrid role in Denver working onsite 4 days a week. Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring Visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership:
Drive end-to-end program delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality targets are met. - Project Management:
Facilitate cross-functional meetings, document solutions and critical decisions, create action plans and project plans that are driven to completion. Develop best practice project artifacts for the highest level of organization and accountability. - Roadmap Development: Develop strategic iterative roadmaps to show critical upcoming activites and sequencing at the executive level
- Systems Expertise:
Quickly assess and understand complex OSS/BSS ecosystems, including data flows, integrations, and dependencies. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner closely with system architects, 3rd-party vendors, and business operations teams to align priorities, resolve issues, and ensure seamless execution. - Data Migration Management:
Lead planning and execution of data migration activities from legacy systems to new platforms; apply data migration best practices to ensure accuracy, integrity, and minimal disruption. - Strategic Communication:
Synthesize complex technical information into clear, actionable plans and updates for executive and operational audiences. - Governance & Reporting:
Establish program governance, risk management frameworks, and executive reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and control. - Data Analysis & Validation:
Conduct spot checks and comparisons of large data sets to confirm data integrity and identify anomalies.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive program or project management experience, including large-scale system implementations and data migrations.
- Must have experience in the telecom, cable, or broadband enterprise industry.
- Strong working knowledge of
OSS/BSS system architecture
and inter-system data dependencies. - Proven success managing
data migration
efforts from legacy to modern platforms. - Demonstrated ability to
translate technical complexity into actionable strategy
for diverse audiences. - Highly
analytical thinker
with the ability to rapidly synthesize complex information and present it in a
succinct, insightful format
for decision-making. - Resourceful
with a strong desire to continuously learn, explore, and dig deeper into challenges and solutions. - Exceptional
stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
across technical and business domains. - High
emotional intelligence (EQ)
and executive presence, with the ability to influence outcomes, "right the ship," and deliver clear,
executive-ready status updates
(including RAG health indicators and visual dashboards). - Strong
leadership and ownership mindset
with a proven track record of driving accountability, alignment, and delivery across diverse teams. - Expertise in developing
executive presentations and stakeholder materials
, delivering concise, meaningful insights and program updates. - Proficiency in
Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
.
Education/Certifications
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- MBA preferred
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement with a salary range of $130-150k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
