House of Stereo is Northeast Florida's destination for high-end audio and one of the top online stores in the country for premium sound systems. We've built our reputation by creating listening experiences that make people fall in love with music again — and we're looking for a quick-thinking, organized, and upbeat person to help keep our showroom and online operations running smoothly.

This role is part front-of-house, part logistics, and part customer service. You'll be the first face (and voice) our customers meet — answering phones, helping track orders, receiving shipments, keeping things moving in the shop, and helping visitors start listening sessions before the rest of the sales team steps in. Some days are fast-paced, others are easygoing; every day is different.

We're looking for someone comfortable juggling multiple things at once — who can stay cool under pressure and genuinely enjoys helping people.

What You'll Do

• Answer phones and assist customers with questions about orders, availability, and shipping.
• Receive and check in new inventory; prepare outgoing shipments with care and accuracy.
• Keep the sales floor, listening rooms, and stock areas clean and organized.
• Help guests get started listening to music on our demo systems when the team is busy.
• Support order tracking, communicate with manufacturers, and follow up on open orders.
• Process transactions and handle POS operations confidently.
• Pitch in on social media, basic web updates, or creative tasks if you have the skills.

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication and organization skills — you'll be dealing with customers, suppliers, and teammates daily.
• A self-starter who notices what needs doing and just does it.
• Tech fluency: comfortable with Mac and Windows, and able to learn new software quickly.
• Prior retail, shipping, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Curiosity about music, audio gear, and technology.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Shopify, Photoshop, or Canva.
• Basic web, social media, or photography skills.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Some possible directions this role could grow into:

• Content & Media – Help produce videos for our growing YouTube channel, TikTok, and Reels; capture product setups, listening sessions, or behind-the-scenes shop moments.
• E-Commerce & Digital Operations – Contribute to the continued growth of our online store through product listings, website updates, SEO, and customer engagement.
• Sales & System Design – Learn the art of helping customers build high-performance audio systems, from first demo to final install.
• Brand & Community – Shape how House of Stereo connects with customers — through events, social posts, and new ways of telling our story.

Pay: $17–$19 per hour

Hours: 25–40 per week (mix of weekdays and Saturdays)
