We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain operations. Duties

• Coordinate and oversee transportation management systems (TMS) to plan and execute efficient freight routes and delivery schedules.
• Manage warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP or AS400 for procurement, inventory management, demand planning, and production scheduling.
• Conduct data collection and analysis using SQL and Tableau to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing, contracts, and service levels while managing supplier relationships effectively.
• Implement category management strategies to optimize sourcing decisions and reduce costs across product categories.
• Lead root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies and develop actionable solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight forwarders to coordinate international shipping & freight forwarding activities.
• Support demand planning efforts by analyzing historical data and forecasting future needs to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Assist in procurement activities by sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations when operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts; promote safe materials handling practices.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within warehouse operations, transportation planning, and overall logistics workflows.

Skills

• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and supply chain analytics tools.
• Extensive experience with supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, inventory control, and demand planning.
• Hands-on knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with warehouse experience is highly valued.
• Expertise in transportation management systems (TMS) for route planning and freight optimization; familiarity with NVOCC operations is a plus.
• Skilled in negotiation tactics for vendor contracts, pricing agreements, and category management strategies.
• Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation including forklifts; certification preferred.
• Strong analysis skills to identify root causes of operational issues and implement effective solutions for process improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams including procurement, warehouse staff, transportation providers, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or AS400; experience with transportation planning tools is advantageous.
• Understanding of supply chain compliance standards related to shipping & receiving regulations; familiarity with international logistics including freight forwarding is beneficial.
