Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Governance Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies and training programs. This role will also contribute content for the company-wide Data Governance SharePoint site, ensuring it remains an up-to-date resource for data governance information, communications, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Management:
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, legal, compliance, and IT teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor policy adherence and recommend improvements based on evolving business needs.
  • Compliance:
  • Gather information, assist with presentation creation, and work with data stewards to ensure that any modifications needed are completed.
  • Training & Awareness:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive data governance training and data literacy program.
  • Develop training materials, presentations, and e-learning content tailored to various business units.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and onboarding modules.
  • SharePoint Site:
  • Own content for the Data Governance SharePoint site, ensuring content is current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and make recommendations for improvements related to site usability and optimal structure.
  • Track and report on site usage metrics and user feedback to drive enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as a liaison between data governance, IT, and business units.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment across departments regarding data governance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or information governance roles.
  • 1+ years of experience developing and delivering training programs or instructional content.
  • 1+ years managing website content
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in developing training with Adobe experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint (site design, permissions, content management).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • Background in change management or organizational training.
  • Knowledge of metadata management and data governance principles.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DAMA, PMP).

Full-time and will need to be on-site 2 days per week and 3 days beginning in January, 2026
