Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. You will work with various tools and technologies to extract insights and contribute to our data strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, database management, and familiarity with modern data technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Utilize SQL for querying databases and performing complex data analysis.
  • Create visualizations using Tableau to present findings and insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to understand data needs.
  • Implement machine learning algorithms using Python to enhance predictive analytics capabilities.
  • Design and optimize database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Work with AWS services for cloud-based data solutions.
  • Utilize Hadoop and Spark for big data processing tasks.
  • Engage with linked data concepts to enhance data interoperability across systems.

Experience

  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Java for data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and design principles.
  • Understanding of Bash (Unix shell) for scripting tasks related to data processing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies is preferred.
